The first virtual fundraising concert – Little Musicians

Despite the unexpected situation of the worldwide epidemic, the Fund Raising Sub-Committee has never stopped the fundraising effort. The FRC held the first virtual fundraising event in August – a virtual concert, themed Little Musicians, featuring 38 young philanthropists with musical talents. More than $1 million was successfully raised.

All the money raised from the virtual concert has been fully utilized to provide free professional assessment service for children that might have special educational needs, such as speech and language impairments, attention deficit, emotional or behavioral difficulties. It allows them to receive timely support within golden treatment period. The donation has also gone to fee remission for children from our service units to alleviate their family’s financial burden during this difficult time.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the participants for the many hours of instrument practice and enthusiastic performances. We are also very grateful for the overwhelming responses from the participants’ sponsors, over 500 of them, as well as the generosity of all our general donors and prize sponsors. Together we have made the virtual concert a great and joyful success.
