At HKSPC, we devote our efforts to ensuring that children with different family backgrounds enjoy equal opportunities of development as everyone. Our service units hold outing activities regularly for our children to broaden their horizons and enjoy quality family time. With the sponsorship from our Fund Raising Committee, the Children and Family Services Centre (Kowloon City) organised a visit to the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre for both children and parents on 27 August.
The Children’s Residential Home also held outings in August and September for children under our care to visit the Zoological and Botanical Gardens, providing them the opportunity to stay in touch with the society and appreciate the nature. We hereby thank all our volunteers for their care and love dedicated to the children during their services at the Home and outing activities.
May, one of our volunteers, said, “I am grateful for being able to bring the children to the Zoological and Botanical Gardens. Normally, they can only see the animals on TV or in the books. When they saw the real orangutans and monkeys today, they became so happy and excited. What lovely and polite little angels they are!
I want to thank HKSPC for giving me the opportunity to learn how to ‘love’. I want to give them all the love! I wish that I can spend more time with them in the future, and give my best and stay by their side as they grow up.”
