Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a common respiratory virus affecting toddlers in Hong Kong that significantly threatens their health:

Highly Contagious: RSV infections can occur throughout the year with no distinct seasonal pattern. Over 90% of toddlers under two years old have been infected with RSV.
Rapid Disease Progression: RSV infection carries a hospitalisation risk 16 times higher than influenza in infants and young children. It is also the foremost cause of hospital admissions among infants under one year old.
Lasting Impact from a Single Infection: RSV has no cure. Furthermore, there are high risk of repeated infections that will cause long-term respiratory damage to children that may last up to 10 years.
