Information Technology Manager / Assistant Information Technology Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, mentor and supervise a service team responsible for infrastructure, networking, helpdesk, operations and project management.
  • Engage and manage external vendors and contractors to ensure timely, high quality project delivery within budget.
  • Provide strategic IT advice and reporting to stakeholders and/or senior management, including IT strategy, budgeting and technology roadmap planning.
  • Strengthen IT documentation, policy procedures, guidelines and incident reporting protocol to support service excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement in cybersecurity controls to safeguard large volumes of sensitive children’s and personal data in full compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO) and other relevant regulations.
  • Foster a proactive, solutions-oriented IT culture that supports the NGO’s mission and long-term operational sustainability.

 

Requirements:

  • A Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
  • At least 8 years of relevant IT infrastructure experience, preferably in an NGO, social service, or public sector organization, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining effective system protection services including system upgrades, patch management, system monitoring, cybersecurity (DLP/IAM/PAM/NAC/MDM/MAM anti-Phishing, SRAA, PIA, PCA) resilience, backup, and disaster recovery, data protection
  • Strong hands-on experience in IT infrastructure (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS/VM hosting on AWS/ AZure/ AliCloud, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Collaborative Platform/ SharePoint Administration, Google Workspce, Active Directory/ EntraID, Windows Server/ IIS/ SQL Server/ MySQL, Wifi/ Networking)
  • Familiar with various centralized monitoring and management solution for internet, WAN/LAN, WiFi, server capacity, storage, backup, disaster recovery, endpoint protection, Active Directory user authentication and authorization services
  • Solid experiencein project and vendor management, IT budgeting, Tender/RFQ/EFP preparation & process, and cost optimization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • A strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude, proactive and a mission-driven mindset committed to service excellence
  • Immediate availablity is high preferred
  • Less experience will be considered as Assistant Information Technology Manager
