The Hong Kong Education Bureau has been collaborating with the Department of Education of Guangdong Province on the Guangdong–The Hong Kong Education Bureau has been collaborating with the Department of Education of Guangdong Province on the Guangdong–Hong Kong Sister Kindergarten Exchange Programme since the 2023/24 academic year. Through forums, exchange visits and class observations, the programme aims to foster professional exchange between educators in Hong Kong and Mainland China, thereby enhancing the quality of kindergarten and nursery education.   A delegation of 38 representatives from the Hong Kong Education Bureau and the Department of Education of Guangdong Province paid a return visit to the HKSPC Portland Street Nursery School on 24 April 2026. This visit followed an earlier exchange in which representatives from the school visited kindergartens in Guangdong Province. Ms. Cammy Yeung, Principal of HKSPC Portland Street Nursery School, was invited to speak at the 14th Shenzhen-Hong Kong Principals' Forum in January 2026. Her presentation, titled “The importance of kindergarten education in nurturing talents to promote technology,” highlighted the school’s educational philosophy and practical experience.   Principal Yeung received the delegation and introduced HKSPC’s services, along with the school’s curriculum. The delegation then joined class observations, gaining deeper insights into the school’s curriculum implementation and daily operations.   We are pleased that the delegation spoke highly of the school’s teaching environment, facilities and supporting resources. Our teachers greatly valued this meaningful opportunity to exchange ideas with the delegation members and to learn from their experiences, further enhancing their professional development.
